Along the length of the canal from the beginning at Marston Junction all the way up to Ilott Wharf (past the current terminus) there are a number of information boards, all cared for by the ACA that require constant maintenance/upkeep.
These information boards are treated specifically with ‘Dark Brown Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment’ to protect them and any information boards found to be damaged are repaired or replaced.
Volunteers may carry out this task at their own leisure but must work in at least a pair for safety and inform us before and after doing any work. You can either pair up with another volunteer yourself or we can facilitate a partner to assist you. Supplies are available when required for this task, although we do suggest keeping your own to make things easier. Information board locations and full information will be provided upon expression of interest.
